I have questions
I love talking dogs and photography. Ask away!

My dog isn't well behaved.

Do I need to be in the photos?

Entirely up to you. Yes, this session is all about your dog, but the best thing about dogs is their love for you and the connection between the two (or three, or four) of you. Although a session will be focused on the dog, it is a good idea to be prepared to make a cameo here and there. The candid moments between a dog and their person can sometimes be the absolute most special moments ever. (but of course, you are never required to be in photos....witness protection much?)

A silhouette is a great way to be in the photo without being in the photo.

These photos are best just after sunrise or before sunset and can be a great way of showing a lovely connection between you and your friend.

Partial Photo

A focus on the dog with you and/or another family member is also a nice way to be in the photo for the camera shy.

My dog is crazy and if we let Fido off the leash I'll never see him again.

"Sit" and "Stay" are a lost cause.
